Ministry of Transport: The temporarily closed toll stations and service areas resumed operation.
On May 11th, the State Council held a routine briefing on the State Council policy, and Li Guoping, the safety director of the Ministry of Transport, introduced the situation of doing a good job in ensuring the smooth flow of logistics. Li Guoping said that with the joint efforts of all localities and departments, the toll stations and service areas of the national highways have been quickly restored to operation, and the "arteries" of highways have been quickly opened and the achievements have been effectively consolidated. From April 21st, the number of closed toll stations will be kept within 20, and the number of closed service areas will be kept within single digits. On May 4th, the country achieved the goal of dynamic zero clearing for the first time. Subsequently, because some drivers and passengers were involved in the epidemic and vehicles stopped, some expressway service areas were shut down again. On May 10th, the temporarily closed service area resumed operation, and the country once again achieved dynamic zero clearing. With the full resumption of operation of closed toll stations and service areas and the continuous promotion of various measures, the situation of blocked goods logistics has improved rapidly, and the traffic volume of national highway networks, especially trucks, has continued to rise steadily. As of May 10th, the national expressway traffic totaled 21,877,300 vehicles, an increase of 26.39% over April 10th. Among them, the flow of trucks was 7.213 million, an increase of 25.65% over April 10.
